"I was given support all the way..."

My experience working with CareerDean and their team was great. The support I received from Vicken since the start of the program’s application in early May 2019 up until the start of my internship in late September 2019 was very consistent and fluid. I was given support all the way. The internship in Miami Beach was also a great experience which I recommend to everyone.

LUIS SUAREZ  //  Front Office Intern From Spain ??

"CareerDean International made my dreams come true..."

As an exchange student, I had to step out of my comfort zone and jump into a totally new environment where I didn’t know anybody. This gave me the opportunity to build relationships with others. This experience as an exchange student was one of the most challenging, but was the greatest experience I’ve ever had in my life. I got to learn many things during my training and gained great confidence and skills. I have also met great friends from many different countries. My dream was to explore the USA and CareerDean International made my dreams come true. Thank you so much careerDean and Vicken for all of the support

"CareerDean delivered their promise to provide a unique cultural exchange opportunity in the United States..."

I want to thank CareerDean International for supporting me during my culinary internship in Florida. CareerDean delivered their promise to provide a unique cultural exchange opportunity in the United States. I had a positive experience at the host company, and CareerDean provided support from the very first step of registration into the program, to getting my J-1 visa, and throughout the entire program until my last day of my training at the host company. I had a program evaluation during my internship, which was very helpful. This internship experience allowed me to gain more skills in culinary and to grow in my field. Now I have the confidence and the qualifications to get a better position as a chef in many other companies and hotels around the world.

"They made sure that I will be placed in one of the best companies in the USA..."

I am a current participant of CareerDean International and when the first time I applied to their agency and got accepted they didn’t forget to arrange everything, from interviews to my company and fix the papers that all I needed to submit. Also, great job to this agency because of the support that they have provided me during applying for my job, they made sure that I will be placed in one of the best companies in the USA. I’d like to thank them as well because I have learned so much from this program and I don’t have any regrets on choosing this agency/program

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the qualifications for the internship program?

You MUST be an enrolled student or a fresh graduate (and arrive within 12 months of graduation). No work experience required.

What are the qualifications for the traineeship program?

Applicants that have graduated more than one year ago must have at least one year of work experience in the hospitality industry. If you are not a degree holder, you must have at least five years work experience relevant to the position you're applying for.

Who will help me find housing?

Some host companies offer housing, and some do not. CareerDean has an excellent relationship with the employers and we negotiate short term (3 - 14 days) accommodations for you so you can have a place to stay for free while you get settled into your apartment. We can help you by providing you with housing recommendations. We inspect all our recommended housing options to ensure that the housing is affordable, safe, and close to your host company.

What happens if I fail my interview with the host company?

If you fail your interview with a host company, you may try and apply again with another host company. There is no additional charge for additional interviews.

The U.S. is so big. Where will I be working?

This will vary based on the position. We recommend candidates to be flexible with their location choices. The more flexible you are with the location, the quicker you will land a hospitality internship.

Is the airfare included?

No, our rates do not include airfare.

Are the meals included?

No. However, depending upon the position, often meals at the host company can be subsidized, or  meals are provided during your shifts.

Can I travel after my program ends?

Yes! You are legally allowed to remain in the United States for 30 days after the end date indicated on your DS‐2019 (Certificate of Eligibility). Participants generally take this time to travel across the United States before returning back to their home country.
